Stress in a relationship may occur due to various reasons. It could be external sources as well as internal sources. Dealing with stress takes mutual effort and understanding from both ends. The problem is not your partner; it is the stress which you must fight against. Stress can lead to fights and arguments in a relationship.

What causes stress in relationships?

Work

The most common reason of stress in most relationships is work stress. A lot of us tend to remove the stress at workplace on our partners which in turn leads to more stress in the relationship. Work stress can be dealt at the workplace or discussed with your partner in a better way.

Ungratefulness

All of us like to be appreciated for what we do. Similarly, in relationships, your partner wants to be appreciated for the efforts they put for you. If you are not grateful for your partner, it can stress him/her. When someone does so much for you and gets nothing in return, it may upset him or her. So, remember to be grateful for everything your partner does.

Lack of Personal Space

Being in a relationship does not mean an end to your personal life. Everyone needs their own space. Giving time to yourself is important. Do yoga or meditate. This will release tension, calm your mind and help you deal with relationship problems. Encourage your partner to remove solo-time too. Do things that make you happy.

Uncertainty about the Future

A lot of couples worry because they do not know what their future holds for them. They are uncertain about their plans. In this case, you must sit down and talk to your partner. Talk about how the other person is feeling about the relationship more often. Have more frequent conversations about ways to keep the relationship moving forward.
